Ravindra Mishra (42), Junior Engineer (JE) of the Electricity Department, ended his life due to a dispute with his wife. Before committing suicide, he made a video call to his 13-year-old son Arth Mishra and younger brother Prabhat Mishra and during the call, he hanged himself with the help of a sheet from the fan in the room.
In this case, the police have registered an FIR against the wife on behalf of his father.
This is the whole matter
Ravindra Mishra (42), a junior engineer (JE) posted at Saifni power plant in the tehsil area, was originally a resident of street number 07, Adarsh Nagar Colony, Roza of Shahjahanpur district. Here he was staying in a rented room behind Seven Seas Hotel located on Shahabad-Bilari road.
According to relatives, on Saturday night before committing suicide, Ravindra Mishra made a video call to his 13-year-old son Arth Mishra and younger brother Prabhat Mishra. During the call itself, he hanged himself with the help of a sheet from the fan in the room. Seeing this, the son and brother raised an alarm and immediately informed others.
Brother Prabhat Mishra first called the contract worker Ravi and informed him. After this Ravi informed Ajay, a resident of Mongoli locality of the city. As soon as the information was received, contract workers Ajay, Rahul Rastogi and others reached the spot and got the door of the room opened.
When we looked inside, Ravindra Mishra was hanging from the noose. After this Rahul Rastogi informed the police. Police reached the spot, took possession of the body and sent it to the Community Health Center and took further action.
Wife used to abuse and beat
In the complaint given by the deceased’s father Rajendra Nath Mishra, it was said that Ravindra Mishra was married to Suruti Mishra alias Alka Mishra, daughter of Ram Awadhesh Mishra, resident of village Rujwari in Tilhar area of Shahjahanpur district, on January 20, 2012. Disputes continued between husband and wife since marriage.
It is alleged that the wife used to quarrel daily, abuse and beat him. She also threatened to implicate her in false cases. Ravindra started becoming mentally disturbed due to this.
It is alleged that the wife was living separately in a rented house in South City Colony, away from her in-laws for a long time and used to demand money every day. Ravindra Mishra had transferred a huge amount to his wife’s account three days before the incident, but the dispute did not subside.
It is reported that the divorce case between the couple is also pending in the court. There was an altercation between the two a few days before the incident, after which Ravindra was under mental stress. Ravindra Mishra committed suicide due to constant mental pressure and family disputes. Demanded action against the wife. Police have registered an FIR in the matter.
An application has been received from the father of the deceased. On the basis of that, a case has been registered and further action is being taken. Action will be taken after investigation.

both had a love marriage
The father of the deceased told that both of them had a love marriage. His house is in Roza area. The girl’s aunt’s house is also there. For this reason the girl used to come and stay there. From there there was contact between the two. Later, both of them converted their love marriage into an arranged marriage with the consent of the family. They don’t know that they will have to see this day in future also.
However, relations remained normal for one or two years of marriage, but after that the wife started living separately from the son. JE Ravindra Mishra was forced to file an application for divorce in the court about a year ago. It was also told that JE Ravindra Mishra pleaded with his wife several times to settle down a house, but his wife Shruti Mishra did not agree.
Before committing suicide he called his wife. Due to network problem, the wife asked him to call again, but when he called again, the wife did not pick up the phone. It is being told that Ravindra’s number often remained blocked.
JE had talked to his son Arthav in the morning. Everything was normal till morning, but what happened at night that they took this step.
It is said that the son was living with his grandparents since the beginning. During the video call, JE had told his son Arthav that now he is leaving and he should go to his mother. JE’s father told that all our relatives were watching his son taking this step on video call, but were helpless and could not do anything.

Ravindra’s 12-year-old son Atharva (alias Arthav) said emotionally that I have seen with my own eyes how my father kept breaking down. My mother always quarreled. She lived separately from me and father. Whenever she needed money, she would call her father. She didn’t even talk to me. I haven’t seen my mother for years. Atharva demanded strictest punishment against his mother.
