A case was registered against the accused under POCSO Act and he was arrested. A very serious incident has come to light in Bairi Nai Basti under Navshildham outpost of Kalyanpur police station area of Kanpur. Here an innocent 8 year old girl was raped by a 65 year old man named Mohammad Israel. There is an atmosphere of anger in the area after the incident.
The accused took the girl home after coaxing her
According to local people, the girl was playing near a tomb near her house at around 4 pm. Meanwhile, accused Mohammed Israel coaxed her and took her to his house on the pretext of giving her chocolate. It is being told that the accused told the girl, “Come, let me show you my house”. On this pretext he took her with him.

The case was revealed due to the girl’s screams
When the accused was raping the girl, the girl started screaming loudly to save herself. Hearing his screams, people nearby immediately reached the spot. Local people immediately intervened and saved the girl from the clutches of the accused.
The public caught the accused and handed him over to the police
After the incident, angry people caught the accused and immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot and arrested the accused Mohammad Israel. The police have registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act and further legal action has been initiated. During the investigation, the police have also found a CCTV footage, in which the accused is seen taking the girl with him.
Medical and security arrangements of the girl child
After the incident, the girl was immediately sent for medical examination. The police have ensured the safety of the victim girl and necessary assistance is also being provided to her family. Kalyanpur Inspector Santosh Singh said that considering the seriousness of the case, the police is investigating every aspect. Due to the alertness of the local people, a major incident was stopped in time and the accused was immediately arrested.
