Directed by Sukumar Nair, Shaheed-e-Azam features Sonu Sood as the Indian revolutionary. The actor shares screen space with Manav Vij, Binnu Dhillon, and Dev Gill. Based on Shaheed Bhagat Singh, the movie arrived in theatres on May 31, 2002. After its theatrical release, two other Bollywood movies on the same figure were released that year.
