Akola Murder Case Maharashtra: A minor dispute turned into a bloody incident in Akola, Maharashtra. ‘Why are you staring at me?’ The dispute that started with this question escalated so much that 19 year old Sheikh Mavis was stabbed to death. The police arrested three accused within six hours.

Maharashtra In Akola, a small dispute took such a big turn that a 19 year old boy lost his life. The incident took place late night near Dabki Road, where two groups of youth clashed with each other. The fight started just because of ‘Why are you staring at me?’ Within no time this simple question turned into a bloody game. The name of the killed boy is Sheikh Mavis Aman Mohammad Azam. He was with his friend Sheikh Tanveer Sheikh Nasir at the time of the incident. Both were standing near a cigarette shop in the area, when the dispute started.

How did the controversy start?

According to the report, police said that accused Arjun Narendra Dhanawat started arguing after seeing Sheikh Mavis looking at him. The matter escalated so much that more people joined in and soon the altercation turned into a fight.

During the fight, the accused and his associates beat up both the youths. Amidst this commotion, Sheikh Mavis was stabbed in the stomach. He was seriously injured and later died.

Victim dies due to knife attack

After being stabbed, the injured youth was immediately taken to the hospital. But, the wounds were so deep that his life could not be saved. His death created tension in the area, as people were shocked that someone could be murdered over such a small thing.

The police registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and immediately started investigation.

Police immediately formed several teams

Seeing the seriousness of the matter, senior police officers immediately came into action. Superintendent of Police Archit Chandak took charge of the investigation. A total of eight teams of local police and crime branch were formed to nab the accused.

Based on technical evidence and local information, the police conducted search operations in different areas of the city.

Three accused arrested within six hours

The police arrested three accused within just six hours. The arrested people have been identified as Arjun Dhanawat (23), Aniket Balapur (18) and Vishal Sirsole (23), all residents of Akola.

His swift arrest helped control the tense situation in the city. Police officials said that this action was taken by Additional Superintendent B. This was done under the guidance of senior officers like Chandrakant Reddy and Sub-Divisional Officer Sudarshan Patil.

Police have said that further investigation of the case is still going on. Authorities are trying to gather details of the incident and find out whether more people were involved. The incident has once again raised concerns about how even small arguments can turn into serious crimes. Authorities have appealed to people to remain calm and avoid violence in such situations.
