FACT CHECK: Did Jungkook Meet Arijit Singh Secretly In India? Truth Behind ‘Song’ They Created

As BTS makes a comeback with a new album, ARIRANG, and their free concert at the 600-year-old Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, ARMY across the world is rejoicing.

However, things got a tad different for India. Desi ARMYs spotted a photo that quickly started going viral. The image showed Jungkook with Indian singing icon Arijit Singh. While many started speculating a possible collaboration, others thought there was something amiss. BTS returned with RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook making a homecoming with new music, along with several other things that are still lined up, including BTS: The Return documentary on Netflix.

However, amid all the happiness around ARIRANG, Jungkook and Arijit’s photo is grabbing a lot of attention too. But, is there any reality behind a collab?

Truth behind Jungkook, Arijit Singh photo

An Instagram user, who goes by @jungkook.sin, posted a set of pictures of Jungkook with Arijit Singh recently. Claiming to be the “official Instagram of Jungkook” the image grabbed attention. From having a meal together to sharing guitar sessions, the pics could leave anyone confused.

In the caption, the account wrote, “Wanted to keep this quiet for a while… I came to India recently, without telling anyone. Not for a show, not for cameras… just for music. met Arijit Singh. We sat together, talked, shared stories… and made something very special. This trip meant a lot to me. I also wanted to personally congratulate him on his journey and everything he has given to music. We created a song… something honest, something from the heart.
I hope you can feel what we felt while making it. It will be released very soon. Please wait for it… don’t rush. #BTS #jungkook”

The photos, however, turned out to be AI-generated and fake. That’s because the particular account has previously also posted photos of Jungkook allegedly with Honey Singh, footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, and more biggies. Also, Jungkook’s real Instagram handle is @mnijungkook with 15.7 million followers.
