 is on a rampage at the box office, not just in India but across the world. After collecting over Rs 200 crore net in just two days of release, the Ranveer Singh starrer is heading for a major milestone in its first weekend.

The movie by director Aditya Dhar, takes the story of Hamza Ali Mazari aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi, forward, tracing his backstory before he was recruited to become an Indian spy placed in Pakistan. The second chapter also brings back actors R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Danish Pandor, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, and many others, continuing the story from the previous part. Ever since its release on March 19, it has been blowing up the ticketing windows.

Dhurandhar 2 becomes Bollywood’s biggest opener

Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as the biggest opener in Bollywood. As per Comscore , Dhurandhar: The Revenge has amassed a staggering total of approximately Rs 90.81 crore in international territories over its first two days. According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2 is expected to cross the 100 crore net mark on Day 3. This would be a mountain number given how eyes were until now, on upcoming big-ticket movies like Ramayana, which is expected to push boundaries in the future. But Dhurandhar 2, managing to achieve the unthinkable, will now pose a major competition for the next mega releases.

Paid preview and records rampage

The makers of Dhurandhar 2 organised preview shows on Wednesday, a day before its official theatrical release. Despite being a non-holiday working day, shows went houseful in most Indian theatres. The first screening was at 4:45 PM in multiple cities. The ticket prices also shot up. Some were priced at Rs 1000, whereas premium seats cost even Rs 3000 in metro cities. It reportedly earned a staggering Rs 43 crore on Day 0, ie paid previews day, creating an all-time record for an Indian release. On March 19 (Day 1), the spy thriller crossed the Rs 100 crore benchmark.


Dhurandhar 2 moving towards Rs 700 crore?

With Sunday (March 23) being a crucial day for Dhurandhar 2, and its Day 4, the trade industry expects a similar trend, garnering a massive collection. Post Day 3, the movie stands at Rs 500 crore worldwide. Now, it is inching towards the Rs 700 crore mark by tomorrow, signalling the biggest weekend ever registered for a Hindi film.
