New Delhi: Going from Delhi Airport to Noida and Greater Noida is about to become easier and cheaper. For the first time in India, Delhi Airport will soon begin a luxury bus service for this route. This service is being started by DIAL, which is part of the GMR Aero-led group.
The buses will run in partnership with FlixBus, a global leader in intercity travel. This new service will help make travel from the airport smoother, better for the environment, and more relaxing. Delhi Airport is already one of the busiest, with over 100 million passengers every year. It’s also India’s top airport for public transport, with 1 out of 5 passengers using it to reach the airport.
Thanks to this new step by the airport, a special luxury bus will soon be available, giving passengers a comfortable, eco-friendly, and budget-friendly way to go between the airport and the fast-growing areas of Noida and Greater Noida.
24×7 service with high-end features
These luxury buses, run by FlixBus, will run 24×7, making travel convenient for those travelling during early mornings or late nights. The buses will offer relaxed journey as they have soft seats that lean back, USB charging points, CCTV cameras, plenty of room for luggage, and helpful staff on board.
Passengers will also be able to see where their bus is in real time. The buses will stop at key places in Noida and Greater Noida, including Sector 16, Botanical Garden, Golf Course Road, Gaur City, Jaypee Wishtown, and Pari Chowk. Depending on how heavy traffic is, the trip should take between two and three hours.
DIAL’s CEO, Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, said this new service is an important move to connect air travel with city transport. “Working with FlixBus helps us close the gap between flying and getting around the city. By pushing for more public transport and fewer private cars, we hope to cut down pollution, reduce traffic jams, and improve travel for everyone,” he said.
FlixBus India’s Managing Director, Surya Khurana, agreed and said it brings world-class travel to Indian roads. “Our buses have wide, reclining seats and other great features that make the ride pleasant. With real-time tracking and easy booking, passengers can rely on us for every journey. This partnership shows our promise to support green travel and top-quality service,” he explained.
How to books tickets?
Buying a ticket for this service is simple. Passengers can book online through the FlixBus app, its website (flixbus.in), or travel sites like RedBus, MakeMyTrip, and Paytm. Those who prefer to book in person can do so at special counters at Terminals 1 and 3, while pick-up points will be set up at all airport terminals.
With this, Delhi Airport is joining the ranks of major airports like London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Berlin Brandenburg, Vienna International, and Amsterdam Schiphol, all of which offer luxury bus services.
