Rishabh Pant, Sanjeev Goenka and LSG players offer prayers at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir before IPL 2026 – WATCH

New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant and franchise owner Sanjeev Goenka offered prayers at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir ahead of the IPL 2026, which will begin on March 28. With the new season just a few days away, members of the squad also joined the duo to visit the temple. LSG shared pictures of the visit on social media as the franchise gears up for the 19th edition of the tournament.

“Offering prayers to Lord Ram is never enough, and with the IPL season about to begin, all the players offered prayers at the temple here. With Lord Ram’s blessings, everything falls into place,” Goenka told ANI.

The Lucknow-based franchise has shown great promise since its debut, but has struggled in the tournament after failing to win crucial playoff matches. LSG moved on from KL Rahul ahead of IPL 2025 and brought Rishabh Pant for Rs 27 crore. He led the team in the last season, but the franchise only managed to win six matches out of the 14.

Pant also struggled to score runs in the season, smashing just 269 runs in 14 matches with the help of one fifty and one hundred.

LSG all-set for IPL 2026

With the new season ahead, LSG will be aiming to win their maiden IPL title. The Lucknow-based franchise will start its tournament campaign against the Delhi Capitals on April 1. They will then face Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 5, Kolkata Knight Riders on April 9 and Gujarat Titans on April 12.

The upcoming season also presents a great opportunity for Pant to establish himself as a leader in the IPL and guide the team to the title and also revive his T20I career.
