Tata Motors PV to increase passenger vehicle prices from start of April

New Delhi: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd on Friday said that they will increase prices of their ICE passenger vehicle lineup by an average of 0.5 per cent from April 1st, 2026. The revision will cover models and trim, the brand further said. The move follows after the brand had announced a price hike of up to 1.5 per cent for their commercial vehicle range, effective from April 1st, owing to higher commodity prices and input costs.

The brand said that the passenger vehicle price increase is happening owing to “partially offsetting the continued increase in input costs.”

Other carmakers have already announced the price increases across their lineup ahead of the new financial year. BMW Group India had said it will increase prices by up to 2 per cent from April 1st in order to offset rising logistics and material costs along with the impact of of dpericiating rupee.

BMW’s German rivals, Mercedes and Audi, have already announced an increase in their portfolio prices by 2 per cent from April. Mercedes had last year itself noted that there would be a price surge from April 1st owing to the growing costs of materials. The changes are so far only for the ICE, and nothing has been said about the EV portfolio so far.
