Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is running successfully in cinemas! The JioStudios and B62 Studios production has caused mayhem at the box office by shattering several records.
On day one of its release, the movie broke five records at the ticket window. It registered a solid opening of Rs 102.55 crore. And on day two, it earned a whopping Rs 80.72 crore from 20,125 shows in India. Interestingly, Ranveer’s spy thriller shattered the day box office record of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga film trails behind Dhurandhar The Revenge by huge margin on day two.
Dhurandhar 2 beats Animal on day two
Dhurandhar The Revenge earned a whopping Rs 80.72 crore on day two of its theatrical release. On the other hand, Ranbir’s Animal had minted Rs 58.37 crore in India. The 2023 film trails behind Dhurandhar 2 by Rs 22.35 crore. That said, Ranveer and Aditya Dhar’s espionage thriller is performing well on day three as well. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the movie has earned Rs 25.44 crore so far from 8,142 shows.
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 has become the biggest Hindi opening film of all time. It earned a whopping Rs 99.10 crore on day one in Hindi, while the total collection was Rs 102.55 crore at the domestic box office.
SS Rajamouli reviews Dhurandhar 2
A while ago, SS Rajamouli shared his honest opinion about Dhurandhar 2 on social media. He took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote, “The writing manages to weave plot twists that create genuine tension charged with emotion.
@AdityaDharFilms you hit it out of the park. It takes guts to make and release a film 4 hours long. The audience is glued to the seat till the last frame.”
The RRR director further lauded Ranveer’s performance in the film. He mentioned that the actor’s sequence with his on-screen sister in the shed is ‘masterclass in acting’. SS Rajamouli praising him saying that from the beginning to heart-wrenching climax, Ranveer mesmerised both as Hamza Ali Mazari and Jaskirat Singh Rangi.
