New Delhi: After businessman Sunjay Kapur’s death, there has been high-stakes drama over his Rs 30,000 crore empire. On Wednesday (September 10), allegations and claims were raised inside the court after Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira, 20, and Kiaan, 15, sought a share in their late father’s estate and accused their stepmother, Priya Sachdev Kapur, of “forgery” and “manipulation”.

Now, fresh new details have emerged in the case where Priya Sachdev Kapur’s lawyer said that Samaira and Kiaan have already received assets worth Rs 1,900 crore and that they “haven’t been left on the streets”.

She added, “This suit is not maintainable at all. I am his legal wife. The claims of love and affection – where was all this when they fought prolonged divorce legal battles in the Supreme Court. Your husband left you several years ago.”

The lawyer, Rajiv Nayar, said, “When I set up the will, my lady will be entitled to examine if it is suspicious in nature. All this crying and weeping that is going on, just six days before the suit, the plaintiffs received Rs 1,900 crore from the trust. What more do they want? It’s not as if these people are left on the streets.” He also added that Priya is willing to share the will on the condition that the siblings sign a non-disclosure agreement.
