When mother Kiran Singh reached BHU Trauma Center after hearing the news of her son’s death, she started crying and crying. People present there say that everyone’s eyes filled with tears after hearing the mother’s scream.

Surya Pratap Singh was fondly called “Pawan” at home. He was the only son of his parents. He has two sisters in the family, one of whom is married. His parents were confident that after completing his studies he would change the life of the family. But everything was over in a moment.

Father driver, mother school babysitter
Surya Pratap’s family is very ordinary.
- Father Rishidev Singh works as a driver in Sant Atulnanand School, Varanasi.
- Mother Kiran Singh works as a midwife in the same school.
Both husband and wife were working hard to educate their children. His dream was that his son should get education and do a good job and improve the condition of the family.
Father was not even in the city at the time of son’s death
The most painful thing was that at the time this incident happened, Surya Pratap’s father had gone to Lucknow for some work. When he got the news of his son’s death, it was as if the ground slipped beneath his feet. Family members say that the father still cannot believe that his son is no longer in this world.
The family left the village and was living in a rented house in the city.
Surya Pratap’s family is originally from Dubatha village of Rampur Majha police station area of Ghazipur district. But due to better studies and work, the family was living in a rented house in Gilat Bazaar area of Varanasi for the last six years. The village house is almost empty, because the family had tried to establish a new life in the city itself.
The atmosphere in the trauma center became sad due to mother’s scream.
When doctors declared Surya Pratap dead at BHU Trauma Center, the atmosphere there became very emotional. Mother Kiran Singh was crying again and again asking how her son left her. Many times she even fainted. The students and policemen present there tried to control him somehow.
Many dreams broken with one son
For the family, Surya Pratap was not only a son but also a support of hopes. He was studying between his father’s small job and mother’s hard work, so that he could give a better life to the family in the future. But this firing in UP College broke all the dreams of that family in an instant.
As soon as the news of Surya Pratap’s death reached his village and acquaintances, everyone was shocked. People say that he was a very calm and friendly boy. No one ever thought that his life would end so suddenly and painfully.
