There are less than 10 days left for the IPL 2026 season to start and the preparations of all the teams have gained momentum. Some teams are practicing in the nets while some have also started playing practice matches. A similar match was also played between the squad of Kolkata Knight Riders, in which the performance of some players attracted attention. But the funniest moment came when the team’s all-rounder Ramandeep Singh took a tremendous catch and in the process, his trousers came off.
Kolkata Knight Riders organized an intra-squad match on 20 March at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. In this, the entire squad was divided into 2 groups of Purple Knights and Gold Knights and a T20 match was played between them. In this, Gold Knights batted first. Rinku Singh was also playing for this team, who batted strongly. Rinku scored a quick 40 runs in just 25 balls and was the top scorer of the team.
Rinku’s batting was amazing but her wicket was even more interesting. Rinku played a shot in the air on a ball from fast bowler Karthik Tyagi. Ramandeep Singh was posted at the long off boundary. He took an excellent catch by diving while running forward. During this, as soon as he dived and fell on the field, his trousers came off and some players started laughing after seeing this. However, despite this, Ramandeep did not drop the catch and sent Rinku to the pavilion.
Talking about the match, Gold Knights team batted first and scored a big score of 199 runs in 20 overs. For the team, opener Tim Seifert scored 30 runs, Sarthak Ranjan scored 37 runs and a local player scored 40 runs. As far as bowling is concerned, fast bowler Karthik Tyagi took maximum 3 wickets for Purple Knights. Varun Chakraborty also took 2 wickets but his streak of getting beaten since the T20 World Cup continued and this time too he gave away 37 runs in 3 overs.
