France Block Everything Protests: French has staged fierce protests against the policies of President Emmanuel Macron. The crowd set arson on the streets. There have been clashes with the police. 200 people have been arrested.
France protests: Thousands of protesters fought on the streets on Wednesday in Paris, the capital of France. Roads were blocked. Arson was organized. The police had to features tear gas shells on the protesters to handle the situation. This protest is against the policies of President Emmanuel Macron. Protests have also taken place in other cities of France.
Why violence occurred in France?
France is going through a political crisis. On Tuesday, Prime Minister François Bayaru had to withdraw from the post after losing the trust vote in Parliament. The President replaced Sebastian Lecornu as Prime Minister. Protests against the new Prime Minister have now started. The purpose of the protesters is to pressurize President Emmanuel Macron.
The protesters clashed with the police in Paris on Wednesday. The mob set fire to the dustbins. The protesters tried to close Paris beltway repeatedly in the busy morning. They put barricades, threw things at police officers, slowed down traffic and protested.

200 protesters arrested in France
The French interior minister has reported that around 200 protesters have been arrested. 80 thousand policemen have been deployed to stop protests. Home Minister Bruno Ritleu said that a bus was set on fire in the western city of Rains and trains were disrupted as a power line was damaged in the south-west. He alleged that the protesters were trying to create an “atmosphere of rebellion”.

Why are people angry with President Emmanuel Macron?
The protesters are said to be angry with the leadership of President Emmanuel Macron and the policies of reducing government spending. The government of France has brought a savings scheme of 44 billion euros (more than Rs 4.54 lakh crore). There is also an attempt to cancel two public holidays and stop government expenses. People are angry with this.
President Emmanuel Macron has appointed the fourth Prime Minister in 12 months. Meanwhile, the “blockon tout” (block everything) in social media and encrypted chats has gained momentum.

This movement is spreading rapidly without any clear leadership. The demands of the protesters are related to the disputed budget plans. People’s anger is also appearing against economic inequality.
