Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar The Revenge Was released on March 19, 2026 in India and other parts of the world, but it has not been released in Pakistan yet. However, it seems that people in the neighboring country are desperate to watch this Ranveer Singh film and they are watching its pirated version.
Journalist Aditya Raj Kaul reshared the tweet on X (formerly Twitter) from a Pakistani journalist who was watching the film at his home in Lahore. Kaul tweeted, “Sadly, the pirated version of Dhurandhar – The Revenge has reached Pakistan today. Below, a Pakistani journalist is confirming this and enjoying the film on his home screen. Pakistanis cannot live without Indian cinema, even if the film is about crushing Pakistani terrorism!”
Even though Indian films are banned in Pakistan, people there secretly like them by watching pirated versions. Earlier, the pirated version of ‘Dhurandhar Part 1’ was also seen widely in the neighboring country.
How was the reaction on social media?
Social media users immediately reacted to this. Many people pointed to a ‘detail’ on the TV screen. One user commented, “The TV screen looks a bit broken. Did you watch any T20 World Cup match on it?”
Quoting a famous dialogue from the film, another person wrote, “Pakistan’s destiny will now be decided by Hindustan.”
Another person said, “The film is so good that even Pakistanis are enjoying it.”
The fourth user wrote, “Imagine, watching one’s own destruction for fun; only a Pakistani can do this. What detailing has been done by Aditya Dhar.”
However, not everyone was happy with this. Some Pakistani netizens protested against watching pirated Indian films. One comment read, “There is no shame at all, watching a pirated film that degrades Pakistan, that too while sitting in Lahore.”
Many users also shared memes. One jokingly wrote, “No fear, it is the atmosphere of Dhar,” while another wrote, “Watching the destruction of Karachi in Lahore.”
