Chaitra Navratri 2026: Chaitra Navratri is the day of worship of Shakti. Today is the second day of Navratri. This day has been dedicated to Mata Brahmacharini. There is a tradition of worshiping nine forms of Goddess Durga in nine days. During the days of Navratri, devotees worship Goddess Durga with devotion by setting up the Kalash and lighting the eternal flame.

During Navratri, after sunset in the evening, light a ghee or oil lamp on the right side of the main door. It is believed that this removes negativity from the house. Near Tulsi: Tulsi Mata is considered to be the actual form of Mother Lakshmi. Keep a ghee lamp near Tulsi every evening during Navratri. By doing this the Vaastu defects of the house are removed.
In the kitchen: Mother Annapurna lives in the kitchen. In such a situation, during Navratri, keep one lit in the kitchen at night. By doing this there is never shortage of food and money in the house.
In the cupboard or safe: During Navratri, keep a lamp in the cupboard or safe of the house where money is kept. By doing this one gets the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Durga together.
In the courtyard: Be sure to light a lamp in the courtyard for nine days of Navratri. According to Vastu, lighting a lamp in the center of the house brings peace in the house.
