Chhath puja 2025 date: Chhath Puja is dedicated to Lord Surya. Along with this, sixth maiya is also worshiped. Every year the Mahaparva of Chhath is celebrated on the Chaturthi Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. Sun God is worshiped for four days during Chhath Puja. In the year 2025, the festival of Chhath Puja will start from Nahai-Khay on the day of October 25 of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month, which will conclude with Usha Arghya on Saptami Tithi i.e. 28 October, Tuesday.

Suhagin women and mothers observe the fast of Chhath Puja. This fast is kept for the skill of their children and prosperity of the family. This festival is mainly celebrated in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh.

Chhath Puja 2025 Date (Chhath Puja 2025 Tithi)

Nahay khay (nahay khay)

Chhath Mahaparva lasts for four days. It starts with Nahai-Khay, in which a bath in the holy river or pond is taken and pure food is taken. Nahai-Khay in the year 2025 is on 25 October, Saturday.

Kharna (kharna)

The second day of Chhath is called Kharna. Kharna is on 26 October, Sunday. On this day, Nirjala fast is observed from sunrise to sunset. After offering Arghya to the Sun God after sunset, Prasad (jaggery kheer and roti) is received and fasting is observed.

Sandhya Arghya

On the third day, Nirjala fast is kept again. Sandhya Arghya in the year 2025 is on 27 October, Monday. On this day, Arghya is offered to the settled sun, which is called evening arghya. This is the most important ritual of Chhath Mahaparva.

Usha Arghya

Arghya is offered to the rising sun in the morning on the fourth and last day. This is called Usha Arghya. In the year 2025, the fast will end after Usha Arghya, 28 October, after Usha Arghya. The fast of Chhath is passed after a fasting of about 36 hours of Nirjala.
