New Delhi: Jofra Archer made a significant jump of 16 places to achieve his career-best third position in the latest ICC rankings list released on Wednesday. The English pacer achieved the third rank in the bowlers list of the 50-over format on back of a stupendous performance against South Africa recently.
He emerged as the highest wicket-taker in the series and his brilliant performance especially in the final ODI match which helped England bag a gigantic victory headlined his overall show against the Proteas. While Archer is third on the list of bowlers with 654 rating points, Keshav Maharaj, player of the series, retained his top spot with 680 rating points.
Apart from these two bowlers, Sri Lanka’s Maheesh Theekshana remained in the second position with 659 rating points. Another English bowler to make a significant jump in the rankings is Adil Rashid, who had jumped into the top 10 of the latest list after accounting for eight crucial wickets in the three-match series against the Proteas.
Kuldeep and Jadeja retain spots among Indian bowlers
