Specifically, a warning has been issued indicating that heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the districts of Perambalur, Ariyalur, and Tiruchirappalli.

The Meteorological Centre has predicted that dry weather is likely to prevail in interior Tamil Nadu today, while light rainfall may occur in Chennai.
