Arjun Tendulkar is in the news in the LSG camp for his heavy bat of 1220 grams, due to which even Rishabh Pant was surprised. Like father Sachin, Arjun does not use a bat weighing less than 1200 grams. This is a new beginning for him after coming to Lucknow from Mumbai.
Arjun Tendulkar is dominating the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) camp ahead of the IPL 2026 season. Rishabh Pant was also surprised to know the weight of the bat that Arjun is using during practice. A video of this has gone viral on social media. During practice, when Pant asked about Arjun’s bat, the whole thing came to light. While most cricketers these days prefer lighter bats, Arjun is following in the footsteps of his father Sachin Tendulkar.
Arjun told that the weight of his bat is 1220 grams. He told Pant, ‘Just by touching it the ball will go away.’ Arjun also made it clear that he does not use a bat weighing less than 1200 grams. Let us tell you that the great batsman Sachin Tendulkar used to play with a bat weighing 1310-1315 grams throughout his career, which was one of the heaviest bats in the world. Using a bat of the same weight is believed to help in timing and placement.

Rishabh Pant was also very impressed by the fact that Arjun joined the training camp immediately after getting married this month. The team management has high expectations from this 26 year old all-rounder this season. This is a new start for Arjun after coming to Lucknow from Mumbai Indians. Arjun has played only 5 IPL matches so far and this time he is all set to perform brilliantly at the Ekana Stadium. Lucknow Super Giants’ first match of this season is against Delhi Capitals on 1 April.
