WATCH: Arjun Tendulkar stuns Rishabh Pant with remarkable revelation

New Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar looks all set for a fresh start to relaunch his cricket career in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Just weeks after starting a new innings in his personal life following his marriage to Saaniya Chandhok, Arjun is gearing up for his second innings in IPL.

After an unremarkable spell with the Mumbai Indians, Arjun has shifted to bases to Lucknow Super Giants in a bid to revive his career. Arjun, son of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, will embark on a new chapter in his career three years after making his IPL debut in 2023.  The fast-bowling all-rounder has joined the training camp of LSG, which acquired his services at the mini-auction for Rs 30 lakh.

Arjun looked in high spirits at the training camp of IPL 2026, which begins on March 28.

He shared a heartfelt conversation with LSG captain Rishabh Pant, who was left stunned by the newcomer’s revelation about his bat weight.

Arjun revealed that his bat is nearly 500 grams heavier than Pant’s.

“1220 gms,” revealed Arjun, prompting Pant to ask about the advantage of playing with a heavy bat. Arjun replied: “It flies even when you touch it. Dad used to play with 1310-1315. I don’t go below 1200.”

The conversation ended with Pant telling Arjun not hesistate to come to him for any advice or conversation.

Arjun and Pant’s conversation is going viral on social media.

Arjun’s father, Sachin, was famous for playing with an exceptionally heavy bat throughout his career, and it seems Arjun has picked up his father’s habit.

In his autobiography, Playing It My Way, Tendulkar mentioned why he never liked using a lighter bat, despite suggestions from his coaches.  Sachin began his career with a heavier bat at the age of 11, often using his brother Ajit’s willow, making his grip more bottom-heavy.
