According to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has collected over Rs 52 crore gross from paid previews across India. The net domestic figure stands at approximately Rs 66.79 crore, making it the highest-ever premiere collection for an Indian film. Screened across more than 12,000 shows, the Hindi original dominated the advance window with impressive turnout despite logistical hurdles.
Dhurandhar 2 box office collection Day 1
Interestingly, the sequel has already surpassed the opening day collection of its predecessor, which earned Rs 33 crore on day one. While ticket prices were on the higher side for the preview shows, audience demand remained strong. Even last-minute cancellations of several 5:30 pm shows on March 18, due to delays in content delivery, did little to slow down the momentum. Theatre chains initiated refunds, yet fans continued to flock to cinemas, signalling massive curiosity around the film.
Industry insiders believe this is just the beginning. With the film now officially releasing worldwide, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is expected to dominate the box office in the coming days. The scale of its premiere response hints at a potential historic run, possibly even surpassing the Rs 1,300 crore global collection achieved by the first instalment in 2025.
