Mega textile park is being built in Lucknow under PM MITRA Park scheme. This project, developed in 1000 acres, will provide 3 lakh employment and huge investment opportunities, which will make UP a textile hub.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is rapidly emerging as a major industrial and textile center of the country. A mega textile park is being developed in Lucknow under the Central Government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA Park). This project is considered to give new impetus to the industrial progress of the state. About 1000 acres of land has been acquired for this park and Rs 990.71 crore is being spent on the development of its infrastructure. This is an example of the state government’s policy to promote industries.
Integrated Textile Value Chain: A single platform from farm to fashion
The biggest feature of PM MITRA Park is its integrated textile value chain model. Here the entire process of “Farm to Fiber, Fiber to Fabric and Fabric to Fashion” will be at one place. From this-

Investment interest worth Rs 63,177 crore has so far been received for 7 PM MITRA parks across the country. Each park is likely to generate approximately 3 lakh jobs (direct and indirect). With this, the youth of UP will get job opportunities on a large scale.
