- Worship the Mother Goddess with Panchopachar method with flowers, camphor, incense sticks and flame.
- Recite Durga Chalisa and Durga Saptashati, Devi Kavach. Offer food to the mother and perform aarti.
- Similarly, worship the Mother Goddess in the evening also.

During the days of Chaitra Navratri, completely stay away from Tamasic food, onion, garlic, meat and alcohol. During this time, the fasting person should eat rock salt instead of ordinary salt.
