X Outage: Social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) faced technical issues in India, reports Downdetector. Many users complained that they were unable to access feeds and links shared on the platform.
Thousands of outage reports filed in India
As of 8:17 pm, 1,227 outages were reported across India. At the same time, by 8:30 pm IST, this number increased to reports of more than 4,500 users.
Problem in feed refresh, error message shown
Many users across the country reported that they were not able to use the platform properly. Although notifications and alerts were being received, the feed was not refreshing. On refreshing, users were seeing the message “Something went wrong, try again”.
Problem seen on mobile app also
Users using mobile applications also faced problems. A message appeared on the app: “Posts cannot be retrieved at this time. Please try again later.”
Impact in America also, more than 14000 reports
According to Downdetector, this problem is not limited to India only. The outage was also recorded in the United States, where more than 14,000 users reported problems in the last 30 minutes.
Both mobile and website affected
An analysis of outage reports in India shows that 55% of the complaints came from mobile apps, while 37% of the complaints were related to the website. It is clear that the problem was seen on both the platforms.
Such outage has happened before also
In February this year also, a similar outage was reported across the world on this platform owned by Elon Musk. At the beginning of the year, X became inaccessible to thousands of users in several countries. During that period, about 42,261 outage reports were registered from countries like United States and United Kingdom.
Services restored after one hour, company not confirmed
This time too, services gradually became normal after about an hour of the outage. However, there was no immediate official statement or confirmation from X regarding this problem.
