Kodeshare agreement between Air India-Air Astana, now passengers will be able to travel from Dehradun to Almaty on the same ticket. Air India Limited and Air Astana Sign Codeshare Agreement

Air India has made a big agreement with Kazakhstan’s Air Astana. Passengers of both airlines will benefit from this. Under the agreement, the passengers of Air India will be able to travel on the flight of Air Astana on the same boarding pass.

Air India Air Astana Codeshare Agreement: Air India has signed a code-share agreement with Kazakhstan’s airline company Air Astana. This agreement allows to travel on Air Astana flights with flight numbers of Air India. That is, the passengers of Air India going from Altamati from other places other than Delhi and Mumbai (eg Dehradun-Delhi-Almaty) will now be able to travel on the same ticket. Under this agreement, passengers will now be able to get boarding pass for their journey on the same ticket and will be able to check their goods till the last destination. This will expand the network of both airlines, which gives passengers access to more destinations on Air India tickets.

What is the benefit of Airlines from Kodashare Agreement?

Under the Kodeshare Agreement between Air India and Air Astana, travelers between Kazakhstan and India will now get more flights options than before. Passengers will get a spontaneous travel experience with several flight options on the same ticket. Also, airlines will get a chance to increase the network without adding new root in their plan. Apart from Air India, the airline has also signed a codeshare agreement with Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Bangkok Airways, Etihad Airways and Turkish Airlines.

What is Air Astana?

Air Astana is a major airline company in Kazakhstan, whose headquarters are located in Almaty, the largest city there. According to reports, the airline provides service on 64 domestic and international routes from Almaty International Airport and Astana International Airport. Company flights are between Baku, Tashkent, Urumchi, Tabilisi, Dusamba, Bishkek, Novosibirsk, Samara, Yakaterinburg, St. Petersburg and Kiev.
