Kangana Ranaut questioned Rahul Gandhi’s behaviour, calling him a “tapori”. After the tea-snack incident in Parliament, 84 former officials have written an open letter demanding an apology. SP Vaid has called it against parliamentary dignity.

Kangana Ranaut on Rahul Gandhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut on Wednesday described Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as a ‘tapori’ and said that he makes women feel uncomfortable. Speaking to the media in the Parliament complex, Kangana said, “We women feel very uncomfortable seeing Rahul Gandhi. He comes like a tapori and talks to people rudely. If someone is giving an interview, they boo.”

Praise for Priyanka Gandhi’s behavior

Kangana Ranaut advised Rahul Gandhi to learn something from the behavior of his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. He said that Priyanka Gandhi’s conduct is very good and she sets an example. Kangana further said, “Rahul Gandhi himself is a matter of shame.”

Reason for controversy: Tea-snack incident in Parliament

The controversy escalated after an incident on March 12 when Rahul Gandhi was seen eating tea and biscuits during a protest with his colleagues at the Makar Dwar entrance of Parliament. After this incident, 84 former bureaucrats, 116 former officials and four lawyers issued an open letter. In this, Rahul Gandhi was demanded to apologize for this incident that happened during the budget session.

SP Vaid expressed objection

SP Vaid, former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, led this letter. He described the incident of March 12 as extremely worrying and said that it shows ignorance of the rights of Parliament. SP Vaid said that Rahul Gandhi’s behavior in Parliament is not in line with the post of Leader of Opposition. According to him, such an attitude reflects entitlement and arrogance. He also said that Rahul Gandhi sits on the steps of Parliament and drinks tea while raising slogans, which is against the dignity of this important post.

Appeal to play a responsible role

Those who signed the open letter said that the post of leader of the opposition is a very responsible one, but from Rahul Gandhi’s behavior it does not seem that he understands its importance. SP Vaid has appealed to Rahul Gandhi to apologize and behave like a responsible leader.
