Hyderabad Crime News: 20-year-old pregnant YouTuber Vaishnavi was stabbed to death by her husband in Hyderabad. Vaishnavi, who was 3 months pregnant, had 50,000 subscribers. The accused husband is absconding and the police is also investigating from the angle of dowry death.
A 20-year-old pregnant content creator was brutally murdered by her husband in Hyderabad, Telangana. The woman used to share videos related to her life on YouTube. This woman named Chittari Vaishnavi was three months pregnant and had around 50,000 subscribers. It is alleged that her husband took her life by stabbing her with a knife in the early hours of Tuesday.
Seeing the condition of their daughter’s dead body, the parents started screaming.
- Her 24 year old husband Gandam Hari is currently absconding. The police is searching vigorously for him. Vaishnavi’s parents found her soaked in blood in the room. He had multiple knife wounds on his head, neck and hands. Hari was missing from there. Police suspect that the attack took place late on Monday night, after which the accused fled from the spot. Hari earlier worked as a receptionist in a local government hospital, but had recently left the job. For the last few months, he also started appearing in Vaishnavi’s social media videos.
- Police said that tension was increasing between the husband and wife for the last one month. Hari has also been accused of harassing her for dowry. Neighbors also told that there were frequent fights between the two. They had also had a heated argument on Monday night, a few hours before the murder.
‘The marriage took place 10 months ago’

Although they belonged to the same caste, Hari’s family was against this marriage. Due to this reason there was tension between both the families. Initially both of them lived at Hari’s house, but to escape the constant tension, they later started living at Vaishnavi’s maternal home in Madhopur.
- As soon as the information was received, police teams reached the spot. Forensic experts also searched the house and collected evidence. In this matter, a case has been registered under sections 80 (dowry death) and 101 (murder) of the Indian Justice Code. Now special teams have been formed to arrest the accused.
