The mother-in-law who eloped with her future son-in-law 10 months ago is once again in the news. The son-in-law alleges that the woman had eloped with her brother-in-law five days ago. Both were currently living in Sitamarhi district of Bihar.
The son-in-law has lodged a complaint regarding this in Dadon police station. However, there is talk that the woman came in contact with her children only a few days after leaving with her son-in-law. Now she wants to return to her children again through her sister and brother-in-law.
The woman, resident of a village in Madrak area, had eloped with her future son-in-law Rahul in April 2025. She returned on her own for a few days and was adamant on living with her son-in-law. After counselling, the police sent both of them together. Since then both were living in Sitamarhi district. Rahul told that he does clothes business there. Sapna was in contact with her daughter, sister and brother-in-law for many days. His sister even threatened him. But, the dispute was resolved after talks.
He went to work on February 6. Then his brother-in-law, a resident of village Gangiri area, came home and coaxed him and took him away. Sapna has also taken two lakh rupees and jewelery with her. Rahul first informed the police in Sitamarhi district. But, no help was received. After this he came to the police station and lodged a complaint. Dadon police station in-charge Sarita Dwivedi says that the incident took place in the district of Nepal border. Therefore no action can be taken from here.
Husband also married for the second time
The absconding woman has two children. A daughter was about to get married. While there is another son. After this incident, her husband also got married for the second time. According to the villagers, he got married only 15 days ago. In such a situation, various types of discussions are also taking place.
