Pitru paksha shraddha bhog: The time of Pitrupaksha is considered very important in Hinduism. During this time, Shraddha, Tarpan and Pindadan are performed to attain the peace of the soul of their ancestors and their blessings. There is a description in the scriptures that the food of Shraddha should be first offered to the crows, because the crow is considered to be the messenger of the ancestors. But many times it happens that crows are not visible on the courtyard or roof of the house on the day of Shraddha. In such a situation, the question arises that if the crow is not found, or the crows do not take food, then who should be offered the food of the ancestors?
What to do if you do not offer crow?
If you are not able to eclipse food to the crow on the day of Shraddha, then you can feed the food of the crow to a cow or dog or ant. The cow is considered to be the abode of all the deities and the dog is considered a symbol of Yama. Therefore, by giving food to a cow or dog, your enjoyment reaches the fathers. Apart from this, you can also add fishes in a watercut, river, or pond.
Importance and correct way of Panchbali
Panchabali enjoyment has great importance in Shraddha. Because the food of ancestors is fed to cow, dog, crows, ant and gods, it is called Panchabali Bhoga. It is not just a religious activity, but a symbol of reverence and respect for the ancestors. It is believed that by giving food to these five, the ancestors get food and they are satisfied. But among all these, the location of the crow is considered to be the most important.
Keep these things in mind while extracting Panchabali enjoyment?
Food for Panchbali: For Panchbali, first place food on a leaf. This food should be what you have made for Shraddha.
Correct order: Panchbali is always extracted in a particular order.
Cow sacrifice: First feed the cow by placing food on a leaf.
Dog sacrifice: After this, feed the dog by placing food on the other leaf.
Kak sacrifice: Put food on the third leaf and remove it for the crow.
If the crow is not found, then feed the food of its share to the cow or dog.
Dev Bali: Keep food on the fourth leaf for the gods. It is flowed in water.
Pipilika sacrifice: In the last, place food on the fifth leaf on the ground for ants.
Food to these five creatures not only gives the blessings of the ancestors, but also gives perfection to the tarpan and shraddha done by you. It is believed that through these creatures, our enjoyment and reverence reaches the ancestors.
