New Delhi: Skoda Auto has said it will announce the prices of the updated Kushaq on March 21, 2026. The SUV has been on sale in India since 2021, and this is its first major update. The facelift version was shown earlier in January this year, and bookings have already started.
The updated Kushaq will be available in five variants: Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. The changes are not just cosmetic, as the company has also made some updates to the engine options and features.
Engine and performance
The Kushaq facelift continues with the same engine options as before. It gets a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that produces 115hp and a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 150hp output. The bigger 1.5-litre engine remains paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
For the smaller 1.0-litre engine, there is a change. It now comes with a new 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Earlier, this engine was offered with a different automatic setup. Buyers can still choose a 6-speed manual gearbox with this engine.
Exterior design changes
In terms of design, the updated Kushaq takes some inspiration from the larger Kodiaq SUV. The front now gets slimmer LED headlights with a sharper look. There are also new daytime running lights, including segmented LED elements placed on the grille.
From the side, the SUV continues to look similar but gets alloy wheels of up to 17 inches. It also has roof rails that can carry up to 50kg and black cladding around the wheel arches and lower body, giving it a slightly rugged look.
At the rear, the Kushaq facelift gets connected LED tail-lights with illuminated Skoda lettering. Other elements include a roof-mounted spoiler, rear wiper and washer, and a black-finished bumper with reflectors on both sides.
