New Delhi: A woman died after falling into a drain when an iron footbridge collapsed at Roop Nagar in north Delhi on Tuesday morning. The woman drowned in the drain, sources said.
Rescue teams from the Boat Club swung into action. They reached the spot immediately and are finding out if more people have plunged into the drain after the bridge cave-in.
The Delhi Fire Service received a call about the overbridge collapse around 9.30 am, and fire tenders were sent to the site.
