According to the statement, Van Niekerk felt discomfort on the eve of the first T20 International (T20I), and a subsequent scan revealed the injury’s extent, which will require rehabilitation. Fidelity Titans’ Anneke Bosch has been called up as Van Niekerk’s replacement for the rest of the tour, the statement added. Her wife, and veteran all-rounder Marizanne Kapp, is also not in the squad as she recovers from illness.

Series Details and Other Injury Concerns
