As soon as September begins, changes in weather conditions are observed across the country. While some states continue to experience rainfall, many plains are witnessing rising heat and humidity after the rains subsided.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several parts of the national capital are likely to receive rainfall in the next 72 hours, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms.
In Rajasthan, heavy rain and thunderstorm alerts have been issued for many districts over the same period. Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Haryana are also expected to witness heavy rainfall in the coming three days. Additionally, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat-Saurashtra and Konkan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha are likely to experience heavy rain.
Continuous Rain In Hilly States
The monsoon remains active in the hilly regions of the country, disrupting daily life. Continuous rainfall has led to problems such as landslides and traffic blockages in several areas. In Rajouri, the Border Security Force (BSF) has set up a free mobile medical camp to assist people affected by floods in remote villages.
Delhi And North India Weather
In the plains, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana, rainfall has been absent for the past few days, leading to rising heat and humidity. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi’s temperature is expected to rise further over the next three to four days, increasing discomfort caused by humidity.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Update
The monsoon has weakened in Uttar Pradesh, but the Meteorological Department has forecast a fresh spell of heavy rain starting from September 11. Eastern UP districts are likely to experience rain with strong winds, while western regions may remain cloudy and humid.
Bihar, Rajasthan And Other States
In Bihar, light to moderate rainfall with heavy spells is expected until September 13. The monsoon is currently active in Rajasthan, where cloudy weather will persist over the next four days. However, heavy rain is less likely in Jaipur, and temperatures may rise slightly.
Heavy Rain Alert In Northeast And Western India
The Meteorological Department has issued warnings of heavy rainfall in northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Nagaland. Heavy rain is also expected in Gujarat and Odisha.
