Weather Today: Monsoon will be fully active in most parts of Jharkhand and Bihar on July 18. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thundershowers with cloudy sky in many districts, while an alert has also been issued for heavy rain, strong wind and lightning in some areas. Where will it rain in Bihar, where to be alert?
Talking about Bihar, almost all the districts including Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, Nalanda, Nawada, Samastipur, Buxar, Arrah, Aurangabad, Madhubani, Araria and Rajgir will remain cloudy on July 18. There is a possibility of one or two rounds of rain and thundershowers at most places. At the same time, heavy rain or related alerts are issued in Araria, Gaya, Nalanda, Madhubani and Rajgir, hence people of these areas are advised to take extra caution. The maximum temperature is expected to be between 32 to 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum to be between 24 to 28 degrees Celsius.

Effect of thunder and strong wind in Jharkhand
In Jharkhand also the weather will be completely changed on July 18. Most of the districts including Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh, Deoghar, Dumka, Giridih, Gumla, Chaibasa, Daltonganj, Bano-Simdega and Sahibganj will remain cloudy. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain at many places along with strong wind at a speed of 40 to 50 km per hour and lightning. Dhanbad, Hazaribagh, Ramgarh and Sahibganj may see moderate rain, while Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, Chaibasa and surrounding areas are likely to receive rain and thundershowers. The maximum temperature will be around 28 to 33 degrees and the minimum will be around 23 to 27 degrees Celsius.

How will the weather of Jharkhand-Bihar be in the coming days?
There are indications that monsoon activity will continue in both the states even after July 18. Moderate to heavy rain may occur in many districts on July 19 and 20. There will be a threat of heavy rain in some parts of Bihar, while rain may continue in Jharkhand with frequent thunderstorms and strong winds. This will further drop the temperature and provide relief from the heat, but in view of situations like waterlogging and lightning, people should follow the advice of the Meteorological Department.
