New Delhi: The all-new Renault Duster is set to launch in India tomorrow, with the company expected to announce variant-wise prices. The SUV is making a comeback after being absent from the market for a few years, and many buyers are closely watching its return because the Duster earlier played an important role in shaping India’s mid-size SUV segment.
The new version arrives with a completely updated platform, a redesigned exterior and a revised engine lineup. It will compete with popular models in the segment such as the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Hyundai Creta. Ahead of the official price announcement, here is a quick look at its engines, features and expected pricing.
New Renault Duster: Engine Options

The new Duster will come with three engine choices. The first is a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that produces 100 PS and 160 Nm of torque. This unit will be paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.
Another option is a 1.3-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine delivering 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque. Buyers will be able to choose between a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
There is also a 1.8-litre strong hybrid petrol setup. It combines a 109 hp petrol engine with a 49 hp electric motor and a 20 hp hybrid starter generator. The system uses a 1.4 kWh battery and produces a combined output of 160 hp and 172 Nm.
New Renault Duster: Interior and Features

Inside the cabin, the SUV gets a dual-screen layout with a 10.1-inch infotainment display and a 7-inch digital driver screen. Other features include wireless phone charging, smartphone connectivity and a 360-degree camera.
The SUV will also offer a six-speaker Arkamys sound system, leatherette seats, dual-zone automatic climate control and ambient lighting. Additional features include ventilated front seats, a rear armrest with cup holders and a panoramic sunroof.
New Renault Duster: Expected price and position
2026 Renault Duster
The new Renault Duster is likely to be priced in the Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh bracket, although the final prices will depend on the variant and equipment offered.
After its launch, the SUV will step into a very crowded mid-size SUV market in India. There are several well established SUVs available in the market, so the new Duster’s pricing, engines and features will be key factors in how well it performs against other midsize SUVs already on sale.
