Ashtami fast and girl worship

Ashtami is called Mahashtami. This is one of the important days of Navratri. For those observing fast on the first day, Ashtami day is the time to fulfill their resolution. Mother Mahagauri is worshiped on this day. Mother is considered the goddess of purity and peace. Kanya Puja is performed during Ashtami fast. Kanya Puja has special significance. In this, small girls are considered as mothers and offered as offerings. It is believed that without worshiping the girl during Navratri, its full results are not achieved.
