Heavy Rain Alert: After the rain in Delhi, the humid heat has increased, while in Punjab, millions of people are affected by the floods and many villages in Himachal are also submerged. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for both heat and rain for the next few days.
Weather Update on 10 September: After the heavy rains in Delhi, now the strong rays of the sun have become a problem for the people. Humid heat during the day has affected life. The water level of Yamuna is decreasing rapidly, but the Meteorological Department estimates that the mercury will increase further for the next 3-4 days and the effect of heat will be felt more. At the same time, there has been some relief from the decrease in the water level of rivers in Punjab, but the Meteorological Department has issued rain alert till September 12. This has increased the concern of the people again. On the other hand, the water level of the dams of the state is also falling continuously due to low rainfall in Himachal Pradesh. The amount of water released in Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rivers has decreased. Despite this, many villages are still submerged in four to five feet of water.
Lake -like conditions on roads in Punjab
The impact of floods in Punjab is most visible. So far, 2,064 villages are affected by floods and about 1.87 lakh hectares of crop has been damaged. The villages of districts like Ferozepur, Fazilka and Kapurthala are still full of water. The condition of the roads has become very bad due to which the problems of the people are not taking the name of being reduced.

Fazilka village still submerged
Nursesha and Dona Nanka villages of Fazilka district have been completely submerged. The flow of water on the Kanwali bridge remains sharp, due to which the contact of 12 villages is broken. Relief material from boats is being delivered to these areas. Private schools and higher educational institutions have been opened in the state since Monday, but the schools in the areas where the flood situation is critical will remain closed.
