This war-like situation has shaken not only these two countries but also the entire Middle East and the world economy. The countries that are facing each other in the war are also suffering losses. The biggest problem in America is rising oil prices and opposition to war in domestic politics. Due to disruption of America’s trade route with Gulf countries, logistics costs have increased by 20 percent, making imported goods expensive in the American markets.

Israel: Lost the most amount, mourning and anger in the country
Israel remains the focal point of this conflict and has incurred the highest military expenditure in the last 15 days. Israel has spent about $3.5 billion in running Iron Dome and other defense systems. During this period, Israel has lost hundreds of its citizens and soldiers, due to which there is an atmosphere of mourning and anger in the country. Due to closure of schools and offices across the country, life has come to a standstill and people are forced to live in bunkers. Israel’s tourism and technology exports have come to a complete halt, causing losses of millions of dollars to its economy every day.
Iran: Lost a lot in the war, could not even save the Supreme Leader
Iran demonstrated its military power in this war, but it also had to pay a heavy price for it. Within the last 15 days, many important military bases of Iran have been destroyed and its expenditure is estimated to exceed 1.5 billion dollars. Many senior military officers and civilians, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Khomeini, have been killed in the attacks. There is internet restriction and severe shortage of essential commodities in the country, due to which the common people are on the streets. Due to international sanctions and war, Iran’s oil exports have fallen by more than 40 percent, due to which its foreign trade has completely collapsed.
Lebanon: Not directly involved in the war but the country is in crisis
Lebanon has been badly dragged into this war without wanting to. Lebanon has suffered more than five hundred million dollars in damage to infrastructure in the last 15 days due to shelling by Hezbollah and Israel. The number of deaths here is continuously increasing, a large number of which are civilians. Lebanon was already struggling with economic crisis, now there is a famine of electricity and medicines. Due to stoppage of business activities near Beirut port, the remaining trade of the country has also come to a complete standstill.
Yemen: Houthi rebels increase crisis, situation of starvation
Yemen’s Houthi rebels have jumped into the conflict and targeted the Red Sea trade route. This country has spent about 200 million dollars in the war from its limited resources, but many of its fighters have been killed in retaliatory attacks. The already ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen has deepened and the problem of starvation has become acute. Attacks on ships in the Red Sea have halted cargo ships arriving at Yemen’s ports, halting local trade and aid supplies.
Jordan: Sandwich made in war, export in crisis
Jordan’s situation has become like a sandwich in this war. It has spent more than a hundred million dollars on securing its borders and managing refugees. Although direct deaths have reduced here, citizens are scared of falling missile debris. The biggest problem in Jordan is the sudden decline of tourism, which is a major part of its GDP. Due to the closure of trade borders with Israel and neighboring countries, Jordan’s exports have reduced by 30-35 percent, which poses a threat of increasing unemployment.
Iraq: Infrastructure damaged, lives lost
Iraq has once again become an arena for foreign powers. In the last 15 days, attacks inside Iraq have caused damage to infrastructure worth $ 300 million. Dozens of Iraqi security personnel and civilians have been killed in these attacks. Political instability regarding sovereignty has increased in the country and people are again living in fear of a big war. Land trade through Iraq has become completely unsafe. As a result, trade worth crores of rupees with Türkiye and Iran has stopped.
Saudi Arabia: Huge loss to business, one billion dollars spent on security
Saudi Arabia has tried to protect itself from direct war, but has spent an additional billion dollars on defense preparations. Although no major deaths have been recorded here, the investment climate has deteriorated due to the fear of attacks on oil refineries. Work on many mega projects within Saudi Arabia has slowed down because foreign experts are leaving the country. Due to instability in the global oil market, Saudi’s long-term business projections have been disturbed and the stock market has seen a decline. Production has come to a standstill in many refineries.
Qatar-UAE: Foreign investors are moving away, airways expenses increase, business sluggish
Both these countries have invested heavily in diplomacy and security. They have spent approximately four hundred million dollars in strengthening their air defense. There has been no loss of life or property here, but the aviation sector has suffered a huge blow. Due to closure of flights over the war zone, fuel expenses of Emirates and Qatar Airways have increased and many routes have had to be cancelled. The confidence of foreign investors in business centers like Dubai and Doha has wavered, due to which real estate and retail business has slowed down.
Egypt: Earnings decreased by 40 percent, tourism season ruined, employment crisis
These 15 days have been like an economic disaster for Egypt. Earnings from the Suez Canal have declined by 40 percent as ships are leaving the Red Sea. Egypt has suffered a loss of approximately six hundred million dollars in revenue during this period. Although there was no death here, but rising inflation has broken the back of the common people. Egypt’s tourism season has been completely ruined, putting millions of people at risk of employment and foreign exchange reserves are falling rapidly.
