Naman Awards: No name of Rohit-Virat… these players will get awards, big announcement from BCCI

BCCI Naman Awards: BCCI is going to organize Naman Awards 2026 to honor the outstanding performance and contribution in the Indian cricket world. This award function will be held on 15 March 2026 in New Delhi. These awards are given by the board every year to players, former players, coaches and umpires in different categories. This time it has been announced which player is going to get which honour.

Which players will BCCI honour?

BCCI has announced that Indian Test and ODI team captain Shubman Gill will be awarded the Polly Umrigar Award, which is the award for the best international cricketer for men. Shubhman Gill is going to receive this award for the second consecutive time. At the same time, Smriti Mandhana will receive the Best International Cricketer of Women award, which will be the fifth such honor in her career.

In domestic cricket, Mumbai’s Ira Jadhav will receive the Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy, which is for the best female cricketer in domestic cricket. Haryana’s Shefali Verma will be given the Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy for the best female cricketer in senior domestic ODI. On the other hand, Mumbai’s Ayush Mhatre will receive the Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder in the domestic limited overs tournament. Vidarbha’s Harsh Dubey will be given the Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder in Ranji Trophy. Apart from these, Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) will again get the Best Performance Award in BCCI domestic tournaments as they won four trophies in the season and finished runners-up in two.

This time during the Naman Awards, the Indian teams that won five ICC trophies will also be honoured. This will be the first time in the history of Indian cricket when teams that have won such a large number of titles will be honored together.

  • Senior Women’s Team: ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025
  • Men’s Under-19 Team: ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026
  • Women’s Under-19 Team: ICC Under-19 World Cup 2025
