Mau/Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday gave a strict message from the land of Mau against mafia and goons. He said that now no mafia or criminal in the state has the courage to create disturbance during festivals or religious events. He warned that if anyone tried to disrupt religious programs like Ramlila, Yagya, Katha, Janmashtami, Ramnavami, Shivratri or Rakshabandhan, his situation would be like Ravana and Kansa. The Chief Minister said that now no criminal in the state can dare to openly threaten Hindus by waving a pistol. Only strict action is certain for those who play with the safety of daughters and businessmen.

Inauguration and foundation stone of 114 development projects worth Rs 392 crore

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 114 development projects costing more than Rs 392 crore at Gandhi Maidan in Mau. Describing Mau as the land of revolution and literature, he paid tribute to litterateur Shyam Narayan Pandey, social reformer Swami Sahajanand Saraswati and former Union Minister Kalpanath Rai. Referring to former Governor Fagu Chauhan, he also paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Chaudhary Charan Singh on his death anniversary.

Good government gives development, bad people snatch security

CM Yogi said that when the public chooses the right leadership, development progresses rapidly. Facilities like roads, bridges, hospitals and flood protection do not work on the basis of caste. He said that when wrong people get power, development money is looted and law and order becomes weak. He said that good government improves the standard of living of citizens while bad governance puts the safety of businessmen and daughters at risk.

Before 2017, there used to be hindrances in religious events in UP.

Recalling the old times, the Chief Minister said that before the year 2017, the situation in Uttar Pradesh was very bad. Referring to the 2005 Mau riots, he said that during the Bharat-Milap programme, an attempt was made to burn the entire city by spreading violence. CM Yogi alleged that at that time, under the protection of power, the mafia used to create disruptions in Ramlila and religious events. Innocent people were killed and the government remained silent. He said that there was an atmosphere of fear and anarchy even during events like Ram Navami, Janmashtami and Shivratri.

Claim for safety of daughters and respect of businessmen

The Chief Minister said that earlier daughters used to be kidnapped and traders were forced to close their shops in the evening. But now law and order has become stronger in the state. He said that now businessmen are working fearlessly even at night and daughters are working safely even in night shifts.

Uttar Pradesh changed due to PM Modi’s plans

Referring to the schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, CM Yogi said that the central government gave priority to the poor, youth, women and farmers. He alleged that from 2014 to 2017, the SP government did not allow many central schemes to be implemented in the state. He said that earlier the poor did not get facilities like toilets, ration and housing, but now crores of people are benefiting from government schemes.

Benefits of housing, ration and health schemes to the poor

The Chief Minister said that houses have been given to 65 lakh poor people in the state. About three and a quarter crore families have got toilet facilities and free ration is being provided to 16 crore people. He said that under Ayushman Bharat and Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana, about 10 crore people are being provided free health facilities.

Chief Minister Farmer Accident Insurance Scheme also mentioned

CM Yogi said that if an accident or disaster befalls any farmer or sharecropper family, an assistance amount of Rs 5 lakh is provided within 24 hours under the Chief Minister Farmer Accident Insurance Scheme. He said that the government is continuously working to protect the interests of farmers.

Non-stop development campaign

The Chief Minister said that development work is going on continuously in the state. Work is being done at a rapid pace on projects like roads, bridges, drinking water, tourism, electricity and flood protection. He said that the government is running schemes for the poor, farmers, women and youth so that the overall development of the state can take place.

Message given about the power of one vote

CM Yogi said that one vote of the public can change the direction of the state and the country. He said that works like construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and redevelopment of Kashi Vishwanath Dham have been possible with the support of the public. He said that now the terror of mafia has ended in the state and bulldozer action is being taken against the illegal encroachers.

The Chief Minister said that Mau is not only a neighboring district for him but also like a family. He said that even when he was an MP, he used to fight for the problems of Mau. He said that construction of a four-lane road between Gorakhpur and Varanasi has made transportation easier. People can reach Lucknow in a few hours through Purvanchal Expressway.

Big statement on Ghosi sugar mill expansion and medical college

CM Yogi said that a proposal has been sought for the expansion of Ghosi Sugar Mill and funds will be made available as soon as the proposal is received. He said that a medical college is also being built in Mau on PPP model and it will be inaugurated soon.

Appeal for protection from heat and storm

The Chief Minister appealed to the people present at the program to be careful regarding the weather. He said that people should remain alert during extreme heat, heat waves and storms, drink enough water and avoid standing in open spaces or under trees.

CM Yogi enumerated development projects

The Chief Minister said that the 38 projects launched include schemes related to roads, bridges, rural drinking water, police buildings, polytechnic, ITI, health and tourism. Apart from this, the foundation stone of 76 projects worth about Rs 237 crore was also laid. These include projects related to roads, education, health, urban development and tourism. Energy Minister AK Sharma, Prison Minister Dara Singh Chauhan, Panchayati Raj Minister Omprakash Rajbhar, Sports Minister Girish Chandra Yadav and many public representatives and BJP officials were present in the program.
