New Delhi. Amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, a relief news has emerged for India. According to the information, Iran has allowed two LPG tankers to go to India via the Strait of Hormuz. This decision has come at a time when due to tension in West Asia, concerns about the supply of oil and gas have increased in many countries including India.
India’s energy supply may get relief
According to sources and ship-tracking data from Lloyd’s List Intelligence, a crude oil tanker carrying cargo from Saudi Arabia is also going to reach India soon. According to Reuters report, this tanker has passed through the Strait of Hormuz around March 1 and can reach India by Saturday. With this movement, the concerns regarding energy supply in India can be reduced to some extent.
Iran’s ambassador’s statement
This information has come to light at a time when Iran’s Ambassador to India Mohammad Fatahali clearly indicated that India can get safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. When he was asked whether India would be allowed to pass safely through this sea route, he said- Yes, because India is our friend. You will see it within two or three hours. We believe that Iran and India have similar interests in this region. His statement is being considered a sign of strong relations between India and Iran.
Iranian representative’s reaction on permission to Indian ships
Dr. Abdul Majeed Hakim Elahi, representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in India, also spoke on the issue of allowing Indian ships. He said that there have been some discussions on this subject and he is confident that India will benefit in the supply of oil, gas and other resources.
Appeal to global leaders to stop war
Dr. Ilahi also appealed to global leaders to stop the war. He said that world leaders should come together and make efforts to end this conflict. He said, “World leaders should go to America and explain to President Trump that this war is an unjust war against civilians and it must stop.” He also said that pressure should be put on the Zionist regime to stop the war.
