Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this, funds were transferred through DBT to the accounts of 9.32 crore farmers across the country. 2.15 crore farmers of Uttar Pradesh have got a benefit of Rs 4335 crore. Till now, farmers of UP have received assistance of more than Rs 99 thousand crore from the scheme.
Guwahati/Lucknow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana from Guwahati during his two-day visit to Assam. Under this installment, funds were sent to the bank accounts of 9.32 crore farmers across the country through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
In this, the farmers of Uttar Pradesh have also got great relief. Rs 4335.11 crore has been transferred directly to the accounts of more than 2.15 crore farmers of the state. The government says that the double engine government of Modi-Yogi is making continuous efforts to increase the income of farmers and strengthen their respect.
UP is the biggest beneficiary state in PM Kisan Yojana
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Uttar Pradesh remains the most benefitted state in the country. Before the release of the 22nd installment, the farmers of the state had received a total assistance of Rs 94,668.58 crore in 21 installments. Now after the addition of Rs 4335.11 crore of the new installment, this amount has increased to Rs 99,003.69 crore. About 23 percent of the total beneficiaries in the country are farmers from Uttar Pradesh, which shows the large participation of the state in this scheme.
PM Kisan Yojana: Farmers get assistance of Rs 6000 every year
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year is given to a member of an eligible farmer family. This amount is given in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each. This money is transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). The objective of this scheme is to provide financial support to farmers in the expenses related to farming and to strengthen their income.
PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started from Gorakhpur
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on 24 February 2019 from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Since then this scheme has become an economic support for crores of farmers of the country. Due to the efforts of the Central and State Government, the benefits of the scheme are continuously being extended to more and more farmers. The government says that this scheme has not only strengthened the economic condition of the farmers but also increased their respect.

He said that under this installment, an amount of more than Rs 18,640 crore has been directly transferred to the accounts of more than 9.32 crore farmers across the country, which includes more than 2.15 crore farmers of Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi said that this initiative is an important step towards making the lives of farmers easier and giving new energy to farming.
