Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who turns a year older on July 18, has secured a nomination for Best Actress at the 2026 Critics Choice Super Awards. The nomination recognizes her performance as Ercell Bodden in the action movie The Bluff. The honour comes after her recent Emmy nomination for Heads of State.
Priyanka is up against Pamela Anderson, Eiza Gonzalez, Akari Takaishi, Charlize Theron, Samara Weaving, and Maddie Ziegler for the Critics Choice Super Award.
This is her second major action category nomination by the Critics Choice Association. She was nominated in 2024 in the television category for Prime Video’s Citadel.
Priyanka spearheads Indian actors’ push for international recognition. Before her, Arjun Mathur in 2020 secured India’s first International Emmy nomination for Best Performance by an Actor for his role in Made in Heaven. In 2021, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was nominated for Best Actor at the International Emmys for his complex role in the satirical drama Serious Men. Radhika Apte was nominated for Best Actress at the International Emmys 2019 for her performance in the anthology film Lust Stories.
Also, Shefali Shah earned a Best Actress nod at the International Emmys for her powerful performance in Delhi Crime Season 2, and Jim Sarbh was nominated for Best Actor at the International Emmys for portraying scientist Homi J. Bhabha in Rocket Boys.
