Here doctors saved the life of a three-month-old baby by successfully removing an eight-week-old fetus from his stomach. This case is related to an extremely rare congenital condition called “fetus in fetu” in medical science, which is seen in very few children around the world.
Vomiting occurred after drinking milk, investigation revealed shocking truth
According to the information, the son of Durgesh and his wife Radha, residents of Kalan in Shahjahanpur district, started vomiting continuously after drinking milk shortly after birth. Despite treatment at the local level, the situation did not improve. After this the family took the child to a private hospital in Bareilly.
During initial examination, doctors noticed a lump-like structure in the child’s stomach. Ultrasound and CT scan found an abnormal structure beneath the liver. Doctors initially suspected a teratoma tumor, but after detailed investigation the case turned out to be a much rarer case.

8 week old fetus removed in two hours surgery
Seeing the seriousness of the case, pediatric surgeon Dr. Rajeev Aggarwal and his team decided to conduct an immediate operation. During a complex surgery that lasted about two hours, doctors safely removed the eight-week-old fetus from the baby’s stomach.
After the operation, the child’s condition is said to be stable. He has been kept under observation in the ICU and according to doctors, he is now out of danger.
