Why do Muslims wear caps?
In Islam, cap is also called Taqiyah or Kufi. Prophet Muhammad often wore a cap. For this reason, Muslims wear caps following the Sunnah (tradition) of Prophet Mohammad. A cap is usually worn to cover the head during prayers, which is a part of the adab during worship. It is good (better) to wear a cap, but without it the prayer is incomplete.

praying without a cap
According to Islamic scholars, when a Muslim stands up for Namaz, he is present in the court of Allah. In such a situation, etiquette and respect requires that a Muslim should offer Namaz decently, with his head covered. This is the reason why Muslims wear caps for namaz. However, even if a Muslim offers namaz without a cap, there is no issue. But this leaves a lack of respect. At the same time, if a person keeps his head uncovered for the sake of arrogance or show off and does not wear a cap, then this attitude amounts to sin and sacrilege. But if someone offers Namaz with simplicity and without pride, his Namaz will be completed.
