Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis attended the fourth edition of Money9’s Financial Freedom Summit 2026. In this program, Fannavis presented his views through video message. Fadnavis said that the economy of Maharashtra is progressing at a fast pace. He told that today Maharashtra is the state with the largest economy among all the states of the country. He said that if Maharashtra is seen as a separate country for 1 minute, then its economy can be included in the list of big economies of the world.
Chief Minister Fadnavis was to attend the program personally, but due to his busy schedule he could not attend it. He said in his message that the state budget session is going on and this forum would have been a good opportunity to share the important points of the budget. However, due to an important meeting in Delhi, he could not attend the summit and for this he expressed regret.
Investment opportunities are increasing in every region of Maharashtra
The Chief Minister said that Maharashtra is among the leading states in terms of foreign investment, big infrastructure projects, employment opportunities and startups. He also said that earlier investment was mainly limited to cities like Mumbai and Pune, but now new investment opportunities are increasing rapidly in other districts of the state also. According to Fadnavis, now the interest of investors is increasing in districts like Gadchiroli, Nandurbar, Jalgaon and Nanded.
Maharashtra aims to make 5 trillion dollar economy
The Chief Minister said that the state government has set a target of making Maharashtra a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2047. For this, a roadmap of developed Maharashtra has also been prepared, which is planned to be implemented in three phases. He said that a big saga is taking shape. We have started moving forward with the dream of a 5 trillion dollar economy by 2047, which is not an impossible thing.
