New Delhi: Ather Energy has reduced the prices of its entry-level electric scooters, the Rizta S and the 450S, for a limited period. The revised prices will remain valid until March 31. With the price cut, the Rizta S now starts at Rs 1.05 lakh, while the 450S is priced from Rs 1.13 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The company has made these changes as the government’s PM E-Drive Scheme is set to end on March 31, 2026. The scheme has offered financial support for electric vehicle buyers, including those purchasing electric two-wheelers.

Ather has lowered the price of the Rizta S by Rs 10,000. The 450S has received a smaller reduction of Rs 7,000. These changes apply only to the base variants of the two scooters. Prices for other Ather models and variants remain the same.
Government subsidy and additional benefits
The Ministry of Heavy Industries introduced the PM E-Drive Scheme in late 2024 to support the adoption of electric vehicles in India. The programme runs for two years and has a total budget of Rs 10,900 crore.
As part of the scheme, buyers of electric two-wheelers have been receiving a subsidy of Rs 5,000. Customers who purchase the Rizta S or 450S before March 31 can still get this benefit.
Apart from the government subsidy, Ather is also offering a few limited-time benefits. These include a Rs 6,500 cash discount, an extended components warranty valued at Rs 3,500 at no extra cost, and a Rs 10,000 discount for payments made using a credit card. These offers are available as part of the company’s current promotional campaign.
