Bengaluru: Blinkit delivery executive punches customer, fractures nose after tiff over address

New Delhi: A delivery executive was arrested for allegedly attacking a customer after an argument, in Bengaluru’s Koramangala area. The delivery person works for Blinkit and reports said that he attacked the customer after a tiff over an address.

The incident took place at around 2 am at an apartment complex on March 7. The apartment is located in Koramangala in Bengaluru.

Delivery executive went to wrong address, argued with customer

The police said that the customer, Paul J Vithayathil, placed an order on Blinkit and was expecting a delivery at his flat. But the delivery executive, identified as Tanush, reportedly went to another floor of the building to deliver the order.

When the customer called Tanush and asked him to come to the correct address and floor to deliver the items, an argument started between both of them.

Later, the delivery executive reached the customer’s flat. But the argument escalated once both the men came face to face. According to a report in the Times of India, the delivery executive allegedly punched Vithayathil in the face, threw the goods on the floor and then fled the scene.

The customer, after basic first aid at home, reached the hospital for a thorough examination of his injuries. The doctors at the facility, conducted an X-ray of the nose of the customer and deciphered that he had suffered a fractured bone.

Later, the man filed a police complaint. The police registered a complaint and arrested the accused, Tanush, who resides in the Ejipura area of the city.
