Kota: In a shocking incident, a 17-year-old boy was allegedly killed by a group of youth in Rajasthan’s Kota district. He was murdered following a dispute linked to social media posts on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Shubham Sain. A Class 11 student, he was a resident of the Prem Nagar area of the district. He was attacked on Tuesday night while returning from a wedding. Sharing details, the police said that the incident took place near the Choth Mata temple.
The victim was allegedly attacked by 2-3 persons
As per the police, the victim was reportedly attacked by two to three persons, who allegedly hit him with iron rods and then stabbed him with a knife. After the attack the victim suffered severe injuries and collapsed after losing a lot of blood. He was rushed to New Medical College Hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
The police have registered the case of murder in the incident based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family. Two suspects, Raj Baccha and Vishal have been named in the FIR. Both the accused fled the scene after the incident and are currently on the run.
Preliminary investigations have suggested that the murder might have taken place due to an old enmity over the uploading of reels online. Sain used to make reels and upload online frequently, which might have led to tensions. The body has been handed over to the police after the post-mortem.

Recently, in Rajasthan’s Sri Ganganagar district, a woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover and his friends. The accused Anjali (23) married 27-year-old Ashish around three months before the incident. Ashish was pursuing a B.Ed degree while Anjali was pursuing an M.Com degree. Moreover, both their families shared close ties.
Notably, Ashish was adopted by his uncle and aunt in his childhood. A few months back, his adoptive mother arranged his marriage with Anjali, her niece, which shocked the family members of both sides
On January 30, Anjali and Ashish had gone out on a walk with the latter’s cousin, Ankit, and his wife. After Ankit and his wife home, Ashish took a route with Anjali that sss reportedly different from their normal route. Later the body of Ashish was found, while Anjali was found in an unconscious state. During probe it was found that it was Anjali who planned the murder.
